About
Ever since I heard the sound of crushing the remains of the Berlin Wall behind our family house at the age of one, I have been fascinated by the mystery of vibration! Although I was not born into a household of musicians, at a young age I kept playing records of Fats Domino and Ludwig van Beethoven all day. Later, inspired by the electric guitars of Kurt Cobain and Jack White, I started having guitar lessons but with a classical teacher which set me on the path of serious practice.
After playing electric guitar in some blues/rock bands for a while I focused on the classical guitar which I studied at the University of Music in Hannover, Germany with the exceptional master Frank Bungarten.
After I finishied my Master of Music many concerts of solo and chamber music followed. A few years later a new teacher started showing me that everything, the rivers, animals, plants, places have their sound, their song. This teacher is nature itself!
Since then the magical journey to my music has been unfolding slowly and brought me to the mountains of Nepal where I’m currently based. While discovering Nepal's vast variety of folk music I came across the recording of an ancient Indian bowed instrument, the sarangi. It touched my soul so deep that I had to start learning it. Since then I'm riding a wave of the endless ocean of Raga music.
